Chapter 7: Fireworks, Family, and a Forever Home ✨🏡
July was a month to remember in so many ways, full of highs, a few lows, and LOTS of sweet in-between moments.
We kicked the month off with family fun on the 4th of July, cheering on friends and relatives running the annual Firecracker Race in Brownfield. Somewhere in there, we snuck in a double date with special friends (and yes, I discovered that dill pickle Cheetos are absolutely the best snack ever). Nothing says 4th of July like food, fun, family, friends, and lots of FIREWORKS!

The weekends were filled with day dates with my hubby, and I even got some breakfast time in with my parents, which always fills my heart. On the harder side, our sweet Olive had surgery that gave us quite the scare, we almost lost her. 😔 But by the grace of God, she pulled through and is doing AMAZING now! 🐾💕

This month also brought moments of both sorrow and celebration within our family. We said goodbye to my great aunt Josie 💔 while at the same time celebrating another great aunt, Sr. Celine, who turned 90! What a beautiful milestone. Although Darin and I couldn’t attend her party, it was for a good reason…
Because… WE BOUGHT A HOUSE!!! 🏡🎉

Honestly, I’m still pinching myself. It’s been such a huge blessing and one of the most incredible moments of our lives. I even wrote a couple of blog posts about it (you can find them [here] and [here]) along with a special post on the 5 things I learned buying our DREAM HOME.
This is going out towards the end of August, as you can guess, A LOT goes with buying a home and we have been busy little bees over here! Which means, we are SO close to one of my favorite seasons!! Can you believe how close we are to fall?! 🍂 I’m so excited for cozy weather, pumpkins, and all the autumn things.
I can’t wait to share what August has in store and keep y’all updated on how we’re settling into our new home. Stay tuned! 💕
