Prepare Your Heart....God Is About to Move

"Joshua told the people, 'Consecrate yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord will do amazing things among you.'" Joshua 3:5

There’s something sacred about the quiet before a breakthrough. That hush in your spirit when you sense God is stirring something new. Joshua 3:5 reminds us that preparation isn’t just practical, it’s spiritual. Before the Israelites crossed the Jordan into the Promised Land, they were called to consecrate themselves. To pause. To purify. To lean in.

I’ve been sitting with this verse over the past few days, asking the Lord what it means to consecrate myself in the season that I'm in. Wondering if all that I'm doing to live for Him is enough. Not just in the big moments, but in the everyday little things. In the laundry piles, the podcast edits, the prayers whispered over my family. What does it look like to prepare my heart for the “amazing things” He’s about to do?

Here’s what I’m learning as I ponder all of this:

🌿 Consecration is a beautiful surrender.

It’s laying down my timeline, my expectations, striving. It’s saying, “Lord, I trust Your pace and Your plan.”

🌿 Consecration is extremely intentional.

It’s choosing quiet over chaos. Scripture over scrolling. It’s making space for the Spirit to speak. It's asking God to search my heart and reveal to me what needs to be revealed.

🌿 Consecration is shamelessly expectant.

It’s believing that God is not only able, but He is willing, to move. That He delights in showing up for His children. It's knowing that, as His daughter, I'm highly prized and highly favored.

If you’re in a season of waiting, wondering, or preparing, I want to encourage you.....don’t rush His plan and don't fear consecration. Don’t skip the sacred pause. God is about to do something amazing and not just in your life, but within you.

Let’s be women who prepare well. Who lean in with faith. Who consecrate our hearts, our homes, and our hopes. Let's be women who trust God to bless our families with His love.

Because tomorrow? He’s doing something AMAZING!
